There are insurance brokers who check boxes, and then there are insurance brokers who take pride in what they do, and Boaz Lau is the latter. Since yesterday I had spoken to 5 different brokers for home quotes and while they were nice, I was struggling with communication and being misinformed by all of them on different little things. I was left confused by the end of it. We are on a time crunch to get insurance to our mortgage broker and I started calling random brokers from Google and got ahold of Boaz and immediately felt the difference in knowledge, customer service, and accommodating my urgency. He even had extensive knowledge to a)reassure me that even if we were a bit late to send our lawyer insurance it would be fine b) confirmed aviva still does home insurance even though 3 other brokers told us no c) this bit is funny, but his extensive knowledge of the value of purses and baby items (that I heavily relate to) was relatable and relevant in selling me the correct insurance coverage. I worked in sales for 10 years and recognize and appreciate these little things and we haven’t even finalized our insurance with him yet - we just got off the phone and I’m leaving this review based on our first phone call that completely impressed me compared to every other insurance experience I’ve had. Halfway through the call I decided he would get my business even if his quotes came back higher.. surprise, he beat the other brokers on rate too, by quite a bit too. Was referred to ARC by my brother after a previous insurer via a broker declined to reinsure our property. Haley assisted me and would you believe it managed to get my original insurer to insure the house with more coverage for less money, all in an afternoon. Oh and it was remotely handled as the property is not I'm the province I reside in. Very happy with the service and ease of the transaction. Highly recommend them for home insurance.
